Workday Consultants (Functional & Technical) – Multiple Modules – India

We are looking to hire multiple full-time Workday Consultants (functional and technical) across India to work on engagements for global clients.

You will be involved in end-to-end Workday implementations, enhancements, and support across HCM, Payroll, Finance, Integrations, and Reporting, depending on your skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with client stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
  • Configure, test, and deploy Workday functionality in line with best practices and project standards.
  • Support data migration activities including templates, validations, reconciliations, and cutover support.
  • Prepare documentation: configuration workbooks, design documents, test scripts, and user guides.
  • Participate in system testing (unit, SIT, UAT), defect triage, and production rollout activities.
  • Provide post go-live support, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements and optimizations.

Functional Workday consultants (HCM / Payroll / Finance)

  • Lead or support functional workstreams in areas such as Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, or Finance.
  • Conduct requirements and design workshops, gather and document business requirements, and align stakeholders on future-state processes.
  • Configure business processes, security, organizations, and other functional components in Workday.
  • Validate data, reports, and calculations from a business perspective and ensure compliance with local/legislative requirements where applicable.
  • Support end-user training, demo sessions, and change management activities.

Technical / Integration / Reporting Workday consultants

  • Design, build, test, and support integrations between Workday and third-party/legacy systems using Workday integration tools (e.g., Core Connectors, EIB, Studio, web services/APIs).
  • Analyze functional and technical requirements, define integration architecture, data mappings, and transformation rules.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports and dashboards (advanced, matrix, composite, and calculated fields) as per client needs.
  • Troubleshoot integration and reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes and performance improvements.
  • Support technical aspects of release management, regression testing, and adoption of new Workday features.

Requirements

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, HR, Finance, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience as a Workday Consultant (functional or technical) on implementation and/or support projects; we are hiring at multiple levels (from ~2 years up to 10+ years of Workday experience).
  • Strong understanding of at least one major Workday area: HCM, Payroll, Finance, Integrations, or Reporting.
  • Good grasp of HR/Finance business processes and ability to translate them into Workday configuration and/or integrations.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a client-facing consulting environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work with distributed/global teams.

Good-to-have

  • Workday certification(s) in relevant modules or integration technologies.
  • Experience with one or more of: Workday Studio, Prism, BIRT, Cloud Connects, or web service/API-based integrations.
  • Prior experience in IT/ERP consulting (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, other HCM/Finance suites).
  • Experience working with global clients and multi-country deployments.

Experience Levels

We are hiring for multiple levels; please indicate your level clearly in your application:

  • Junior Workday Consultant: 1–3 years of relevant Workday experience (functional or technical).
  • Mid-level Workday Consultant: 3–7 years of Workday implementation/support experience.
  • Senior / Lead Workday Consultant: 7+ years of Workday experience including client-facing leadership, design authority, or mentoring responsibilities.

Location & Work Model

  • Base: India (candidates from any city are welcome).
  • Work model: Onsite.
  • Employment: Full-time employee on our payroll, deployed on projects with Indian and international clients.
